Do you want to participate in Bright Schools, but you aren’t sure how to initiate your students’ exploration into the relationship between light and sleep? The NSF and NSTA have developed two lessons that provide the scientific content needed to help your students understand and successfully participate in the competition. These concepts include the introduction of how the presence and/or absence of light controls circadian rhythms, and how to quantitatively define the amount of light they receive throughout the day. Here you'll find everything you need to get started.

Feedback on your experience is important to us. Below is a link to a feedback form so that you can give us input on how the lessons went in your classroom. By completing a feedback form, you will automatically be entered in a drawing to win a prize to be announced at a later date. This means you have two chances to win if you review both lessons!
